"Keeper of the Keys"

You are the Keeper of The Keys.
You are the Guard at The Gate.
Waiting in line to get through that door
Is LOVE. And also HATE.
In line to enter is GENTLE PEACE.
And also VIOLENT WAR.
You must choose who may, and who
May not come through the door.
INTOLERANCE tries to sneak on through
On wings of FEAR, or PRIDE.
It hides behind DREAMS of BELONGING,
And tries to sneak inside.
Oh! Be alert! You're the Guard who decides
Who GOES and who may STAY.
You are The Keeper of The Keys to Your Mind.
Who will you let in today?

The Mirror

"Never mistake people's exterior characteristics for reality, for the character they show on the surface may be merely a reflection of the people with whom they have been most in contact, or a front disguising its own opposite. A gruff exterior may hide a person dying for warmth; a repressed, sober-looking type may actually be struggling to conceal uncontrollable emotions."

Sensei - Part 1

One biggest character trait that is meritorious is ones ability to admit to thyself & others their weakness and not having a grasp of information. Everyone loves to prove their superiority and social proof to gain admiration? [That soon will be short-lived if humility & being humble is not cultivated.] But how much power is in it to admit what we don't know instead of righteously thinking we know it all. Once we have the notion we know it all, we considerably limit our full-potential. Afterall, we are given 2 ears and one mouth - how else can we learn if we don't listen more than opening our mouths and blurting that which we 'think' we know? Take a viewpoint of not knowing and develop your curiosity. Work on developing your weaknesses IF you deeply want to improve & focus and wield your strengths so they may get sharper. Leverage is key.
