The Saint

[Random thoughts & underlines from a book...]

Everyone who enters your life comes to you at precisely the time you most need to learn the lesson they've come to teach.

There are no coincidences - ever.

They'll get it when they're ready to get it. When the student is ready, the teacher appears.

You don't think like most people.
I know. That's because I see more than most people. And it's not because I'm better than anyone else - it's because I've been taught by the best
"If I have seen farther than others, it is because I have stood on the shoulders of giants." - Isaac Newton

So I've learned that it's better to risk and fail than to not risk at all.

Human beings are most alive when living in the unknown, for it's in this place where anything and everything is possible.

If figuring things out in my head was the way to find the answers I needed to create the extraordinary life I'd always wanted, then I'd have those answers by now.

But you must trust - after all, isn't it all about trust?
Trust that you and I have connected for a special reason. Trust that there's no better place for you to be than where you are now.

The very condition of the human being is one of imperfection, yet I've come to understand that we're actually perfect in our imperfection. If we didn't have our weaknesses, we'd have nothing to work on as we journeyed through life.

What you don't own about yourself owns you.

It takes tremendous internal strength to go into that darkness that keep us small in our lives. It takes great inner power to take a serious look at the way we're living and make the midcourse corrections that will set us back on track.

Teach your brain that change is good and keep blazing a path that no one else has walked, in terms of the way you show up as a person.

Your current reality is nothing more than a complete reflection of the lessons you most need to learn.

Every single thing that you hate about your life, every single thing that irritates you in your days, and every single thing that causes you stress is a very important teacher. The things that press your buttons offer your best clues about what needs to grow and evolve within you.
"Everything that irritates us about others can lead us to an understanding of ourselves" - Carl Jung

You wouldn't be able to see the great quality of another person unless you knew that quality in yourself.

It's true. As a child, you were aware of all your gifts. You were innocent and pure. You were immensely creative and wildly passionate. Your imagination knew no boundaries and your dreams knew no limits. You trusted others and had faith in yourself. You didn't have this need we adults have: to have everything all figured out. You expressed your truest essence as a person without fear of reprisal, and you freely let your light shine. You lived totally in the moment and savored every simple gift that each of our lives brings to us on a regular basis. You loved snowflakes and spiders, singing and dreaming, a good hug and a steaming cup of hot chocolate. The world was abundant, a place of boundless possibilities, and a ready partner for your authentic success. But then something happened.
Well, to put it bluntly, you committed a crime. Actually, you committed the most serious crime any human being could commit.
You began to betray yourself. You disowned your true self in favor of buying into the beliefs of your tribe.
Society is your tribe. You see, you started to adopt other people's beliefs about the way the world works and the nature of your role within it.

"The deepest personal defeat suffered by human beings is constituted by the difference between what one was capable of becoming and what one has in fact become" - Ashley Montague

Who you are as a person speaks so loudly that I can't hear what you're saying.

"The level of thinking that got you to where you now are will not get you to where you dream of being" - Albert Einstein

Each one of us views the world through the lens of our personal context, which has been shaped by the unique experiences of our lives. And since no one on the planet has had exactly the same experiences, no one on the planet has the same personal experience of any given situation.

There is an order to the seemingly random events of our lives, although most of us never recognize this. All the dots in our lives are connected, and everything that happens to us happens for a reason.

The sad times improve us and lead us to the good, while the good times show us the fullness of our possibilities and offer us the blessings to be appreciated. And I also realized that nothing very good or very bad ever lasts for very long.

The Decision Factor.

Initiative & Leadership.

The ability to make a decision is seldom come. The problem arises when an individual is not decisive. Why is it hard for a person to give a simple "yes" or "no" answer? I've pondered that question numerous times. Yet, I have also in the past, been in situations where "maybe" was a sufficient answer. Probably because it is an easy way out or because I really didn't know what I've wanted.

But I have learned to give clear answers. The myth people have with decision is that they think it's permanent. Decision is not an indelible act. If something doesn't work, decide another route. Our minds have the tendency create all kinds of false pretenses. Be conscious to this and your self awareness.

But, is it worth it to endure trivial matters when a person is not decisive? Probably not. Try not to get upset and put yourself as the victim because repeated frustrations and disappointments are a reflection of misunderstandings and presumptions.

Remember to focus on the things that truly count in your life.

Decisions, Decisions, Decisions.

Lately, my integrity has been missing. I think I'm being overwhelmed by a multitude of opportunities to the point of paralysis. Some things have to be let go while I pursue what it is I truly want.

[Inaction breeds doubt and fear. Action breeds confidence and courage. If you want to conquer fear, do not sit home and think about it. Go out and get busy. - Dale Carnegie]

The first step has been taken - Health & Fitness. I have been going to the gym regularly which influences my mood. I'm ecstatic that I'm back on par to where I was an year ago in a matter of weeks!

[Remember, the easy road often becomes hard, and the hard road often becomes easy.]

Career. I must raise my performance to the next level & generate more sales. I will stop procrastinating and start studying for this course. Time will not be an issue anymore! Remember, being busy is a great thing.

[Do not let what you cannot do interfere with what you can do. − John Wooden]

Business. One of the areas that's overwhelming only because it's an area I really want to get handled! When you truly care about something you're bound to have breakdowns along the way. I'm in it, I've realized it & I care. Without breakdowns there is no breakthroughs. "The phoenix is burning!" Opportunities in this area are abundant and I have to choose one and follow it through.

[Fail faster. Succeed sooner! - David Kelley/IDEO]

Family. The single most important area in my life. I will work hard no matter what trials I have to go through (mainly with myself) to make my family my focus in life. They are everything and I am grateful for them. I've taken them for granted in the past but no more! Whatever it is I do I do it for them.

[Be grateful for all the great things in your life, then only will you receive more of what you want. - P]

Relationships. This will come along the journey. It's a fact, without enduring support and communication nothing great can be done. I will make my relationships nothing short of adventurous and 'amazing'.

[This is me. I like me. You should like me too. And if you don't; I don't care. - Anonymous]

I am truly grateful for my friends. I can honestly say I have the greatest friends in the world because they support me and hold me to a higher standard. For that I thank you.

[Who you are around tells you a great deal about your character. - Toyko]

Everything else is a by-product of my actions. Like attracts like.

Hot Air Balloon

Like a hot air balloon, there's only so much people you can fit into it. Once maximum is reached, the balloon will start to waiver and will not have the driving force to keep rising.

There comes a limit and once the limit is reached it cannot withstand more. A consensus is then reached to not load more people, that or to remove some so that the ones that truly want to soar to the skies above, can.

There is no point in hovering just barely off the ground when one can enjoy the ride from high above.

Those that want to, will. Those that don't want to, will get off for they may be scared or simply do not want to experience soaring above the clouds.

Take risks cause without risks, nothing great can be achieved.
