Choose meanings that empower you in life.

Make a list of things you can do at any moment to make you feel good.
(With no negative side effects)

your opening line reminds me of a something i read in a book the other day (the seven spiritual laws of success by: deepak chopra)

it makes sense, and it really makes life a lot easier if you live according to that.. it allows you to let go when situations don't turn out like you expected, and turn things around to a more positive side with ease.

i attempted to find some flaw in your list, so i could tell you the negative side effect of it (lol :P) but failed.
my list would consist of most of yours.. with a few additions and/or alterations. but as a whole, pretty similar.

one addition would be kind of what we talked about earlier today. which was reading other people's writings. random peoples' i'm talking about. i'm not quite sure how exactly it motivates me.. i tried thinking of a few theories of how it does just now, but then hit backspace until my entirely wrong theories were gone lol.

anyway, i found this a good activity (list of motivation/inspiration) which actually reminded me of a few things that you mentioned that do motivate me. which is something i was lacking until.. today, pretty much lol.

so i've been babbling along here enough now..
